Vinexpo Explorer, a pioneering concept

Vinexpo Explorer is an innovative event format, designed to allow little-known producer regions to emerge and thereby grow business for the industry.
REINVENTING A WAY OF BOOSTING BUSINESS

Created by Vinexposium in 2017, Vinexpo Explorer is a pioneering format. It is a new way for international buyers to source new wine and/or spirits listings for their portfolios.

At every chapter, the event offers an immersive experience over two or three days in an on-trend or up-and-coming producer region. The regions selected are characterised by a unique contemporary wine and spirits culture and history

Putting a region on the map

Specialist journalists and opinion leaders are on board each exploration. Immersed in the local lifestyle, in direct contact with its iconic players, they are thus able to relay their discoveries to the entire industry and provide international visibility for the chapter host region. In this respect, Vinexpo Explorer also provides outstanding communication opportunities for the host region.

Co-designing a bespoke programme

For each of the Vinexpo Explorer chapters, Vinexposium relies on its local partner and industry representative to maximise attendance by buyers and the media, through tastings, visits, business meetings and relaxed opportunities for networking.

KEY EXPORT BUYERS & VIP GUESTS

Designed as a high-end event serving the interests of wine and spirits industry leaders, Vinexpo Explorer provides a premium service. All expenses for the buyers selected to take part in each chapter are paid for during their stay, so that they can focus entirely on business and building solid, long-lasting relationships, the prerequisites for legitimate growth of the wine and spirits industry in the region explored.

Buyers taking part in Vinexpo Explorer are cherry-picked using Vinexposium’s unique database and in-depth, multi-criteria searches.

They are industry leaders, senior buyers and decision-makers. They come from key markets, both major and emerging markets, to develop exports for the host destination. They are primarily importers, e-tailers, retailers, distributors, supermarkets, brokers, airline companies and restaurateurs.
Most of them are totally unfamiliar with the region and its producers.

WHAT THE BUYERS SAY

PAKKIRISAMY GANESAN

Managing director Francheteau (Singapore)

“If I had come to explore the region alone, I would never have learnt so much
and would have visited 4 or 5 wineries at most. Thanks to Vinexpo Explorer, I met 60! That’s a big difference.”

ALEX BAKKER

Managing director
The Bacchus Group (Canada)

“Amazing balance between learning about the host region, meeting incredible people, spectacular views and understanding global markets, both their challenges and their success.”

QUANG HUY LE

Managing director Tan Khoa (Vietnam)

“Vinexpo Explorer is a unique opportunity to see everybody who makes wine in the region.
Some of the producers were meeting a foreign buyer for the first time. This is a rare opportunity.”
